Alessandra Comini is both a renowned and prolific author. She has to date published a total of 8 books and numerous reviews, essays and articles for national and international publications….

She has also contributed chapters to a wide variety of specialist books while authoring a number of exhibition catalogues and opera booklets. She also offers a large number of illusatrated lectures, many of which have been specially commissioned by well-known institutions such as the Guggenheim Museum, Metropolitan Museum, National Gallery of Art, National Museum of Women in the Arts, American Musicological Society, American Guild of Organists, Wagner Society, Schoenberg Institute, Curtis Institute of Music, Goethe Society, Austrian Institute, Cleveland Psychoanalytic Society, Leipzig Gewandhaus, Het Concertgebouw, Helsinki Ateneum, the Courtauld Institute, Soviet Cultural Foundation (St. Petersburg), Liljevalchs Konsthall (Stockholm), Käthe Kollwitz Museum (Berlin), Dallas Symphony Orchestra, Philadelphia Symphony Orchestra, Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, and the Santa Fe Opera.

Her work has been translated into French, German, Italian, Spanish, Dutch and Swedish.In 2014 she began writing art history murder mystery books. The first three (see Amazon) are KILLING FOR KLIMT, THE SCHIELE SLAUGHTERS, and THE KOKOSCHKA CAPERS. Her fourth book in this Megan Crespi Series is THE MUNCH MURDERS, now in press.
